1. Detailed Description of Goods and/or Services
Cape Tiles is a retailer and distributor of high-quality tiles, flooring, and related products. We supply a wide range of local and imported tiles to both residential and commercial customers across South Africa.
2. Delivery Policy
2.1 Delivery Areas
Deliveries are available across South Africa. Some remote or outlying areas may have longer delivery lead times.
2.2 Delivery Methods
- Courier / Bakkie / Truck Delivery: Smaller orders or tile samples may be delivered via courier services, while larger orders will be delivered by bakkie or truck.
- Customer Collection: Orders may be collected from our warehouse/store during business hours.
2.3 Delivery Times
- In-stock items: Typically dispatched within 7 working days of receiving full payment.
- Special orders: Lead times will vary depending on supplier availability.
- Deliveries take place Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.
2.4 Delivery Costs
- Delivery fees are calculated based on distance, weight, and size of the order.
- Full payment (including delivery fee) must be received before goods are dispatched.
2.5 Access & Offloading
- Customers must ensure the delivery address is accessible to a large delivery vehicle.
- Goods will be offloaded at the nearest accessible point (e.g., kerbside, driveway, or loading bay).
- For safety reasons, delivery staff will not carry tiles to upper floors or into the property. All deliveries are made to ground floor level only.
- The customer is responsible for moving products beyond the delivery point.
2.6 Receiving Your Order
- Customers must check goods against the delivery note upon receipt.
- Any visible damage to packaging or products must be noted on the delivery receipt before signing.
- Claims for damages must be reported within 24 hours of delivery and supported with photographs.
2.7 Storage & Delays
- Customers unable to receive delivery on the agreed date must notify us at least 48 hours in advance to avoid re-delivery charges.
2.8 Risk & Responsibility
- Once delivery is completed and signed for, responsibility for the goods passes to the customer.
- Cape Tiles cannot be held liable for damages occurring after delivery.
2.9 Returns Due to Delivery Issues
- If delivery is refused without prior agreement, re-delivery fees will be charged.
3. Returns & Refunds Policy
- Special order items are non-returnable.
- No claims will be accepted after products have been installed.
- Returns are only accepted if products are in their original packaging and in a resalable condition.
- Approved returns are subject to a 15% handling fee.
- Refunds for unavailable stock will be processed within 30 days.
4. Customer Privacy Policy
Cape Tiles takes all reasonable steps to protect customers’ personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Information collected will only be used for processing orders and customer service.
5. Payment Options Accepted
Cape Tiles accepts secure online payments via Visa, MasterCard, and EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer).
6. Card Acquiring and Security
Card transactions are acquired via Ozow, an approved payment gateway for South African banks. All transactions are encrypted using SSL3 encryption, and no card details are stored on Cape Tiles’ website.
7. Customer Details Separate from Card Details
Customer details will be stored by Cape Tiles separately from payment details entered through PayGate.
8. Merchant Outlet Country and Transaction Currency
The merchant outlet country is South Africa, and all transactions are processed in South African Rand (ZAR).
9. Responsibility
Cape Tiles is responsible for fulfilling orders, customer service, support, dispute resolution, and delivery of goods.
10. Country of Domicile
This website is governed by the laws of South Africa. Cape Tiles chooses its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement as its registered address below.
11. Variation
Cape Tiles reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice.
